New Swedish Labour Court judgement regarding unfair treatment with interesting statements concerning probationary employment
Recently, the Labour Court announced a ruling in a case concerning alleged discrimination and alleged unfair treatment under the Swedish Parental Leave Act. Although the case concerned a relatively narrow legal issue, the judgment contains interesting opinions and statements.
New rules for posting that entered into force on 30 July 2020
On 30 July 2020, changes in the Posting of Workers Act, entered into force. The changes are a consequence of the changes that were made in the EU’s posting directive, through the so-called amending directive, which is now being introduced at a national level.
Short-term work and paid apprentices-trainees
The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, has announced that it is incompatible with the Short-term Work Allowance Act to employ paid apprentices and trainees.
