An economic employer concept is being introduced in Sweden starting from 1 January 2020
The Swedish Parliament (Riksdag) has decided to introduce an economic employer concept in connection with taxation of foreign workers who are working temporarily in Sweden.
Negotiated agreement with Byggnads in the Construction Agreement’s area

New salaried employees agreement ready

New rules for posting that entered into force on 30 July 2020
On 30 July 2020, changes in the Posting of Workers Act, entered into force. The changes are a consequence of the changes that were made in the EU’s posting directive, through the so-called amending directive, which is now being introduced at a national level.

New provisions concerning hiring and hiring out and changes in the lending and borrowing rules in the Road and Rail Agreement’s area
The Swedish Construction Federation and Seko within the framework of a working group have agreed to introduce a completely new chapter concerning hiring and hiring out (the rules enter into force on 1 August 2020) and to make certain changes to the existing rules on lending and borrowing (the rules enter into force on 1 June 2020).
The Salaried Employees Agreement extended
The Salaried Employees Agreement was extended on 27 March 2020 to apply up to and including 31 October 2020. Salary agreements for the Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers and Unionen were also extended until the same date. The salary reviews for these agreements are expected to occur from and including 1 November 2020 when a new agreement shall have been signed. The Ledaravtalet (Agreement for employees in management positions) is an agreement that applies until further notice and that will remain unchanged.
